Instructional Resources Public Review Opportunity

Staff, students, families, and Gwinnett community members are invited to review and provide input on proposed instructional resources for select grades and courses in Career and Technical Education and Health (Sex Education).

Before adopting instructional resources for classroom use, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) holds an extensive review. Multiple committees involving various stakeholder groups reviewed resources submitted by publishers for alignment with the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) standards. During the ongoing review process, selected resources are piloted in GCPS classrooms. Data from the reviews and pilots will be considered in making adoption recommendations to the Board of Education in 2025.

Worried about paying for your child’s medical care if an accident should happen? K&K’s student accident insurance can help.

If you received a letter saying that your children were automatically approved (directly certified) for free meals for the 2024-2025 school year because someone in your household participates in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), then you do not need to submit an application.

We need only one application per household.  

Eligibility for free or reduced priced shcool meals benefits is based on any one of these three things:

-your total household income and size in the month the application is filled out, or the month before, or

-your child's individual status as foster , homeless, migrant, or runaway or

-participation in an assistance programs by any memeber of your household

Your US citizenship or immigrantion status does not affect your eligibility for free or reduced price benefits.

Children and parents and other adults in the family learn TOGETHER through engaging lesson plans in a high-quality preschool environment for 90 minutes each week during the school year. Families are empowered to keep the learning going at home so that all children will be ready for Kindergarten!
